Porn Star Megan Leigh's career enjoyed a
metoeric rise from the moment of her hardcore debut in 1987's
'Secrets Behind The Green Door.' Megan Leigh was a clean-scrubbed,
innocent-looking young blonde. Trim, taut, and toned, Megan Leigh's
dance-honed figure was a vision of voluptuous sensuality. Her
personality was bubbly and playful.
Megan Leigh was born on March 2, 1964, and grew
up in Oakland, California. She ran away from home at the age of 14
and by her 17th birthday, Megan Leigh was working at a massage
parlor in Guam. At 18, Megan Leigh moved back to the Bay Area and
was hired as a stripper at the Mitchell Brothers' O'Farrell Theater
in San Francisco. The porn industry came calling in late 1987, and
Megan Leigh answered.
She made a ton of money - and just before her
death she had bought her mother a house that reportedly cost
&500,000.
Megan Leigh shocked the porn community when her
body was discovered on June 16, 1990. She was dead of a
self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Megan Leigh left behind a
note alluding to long-running personal problems that she could no
longer cope with. Her death left the industry reeling as they dealt
with the loss of one of their most personable, most popular
starlets. Her final performance can be found in 1990's 'Jail Babes.'
She'll always be fondly remembered by porn fans as a vivacious and
adventurous performer who invariably gave her all.
